Running your own Pay to Play:
Welcome to our Pay-to-Play Rides event! We appreciate your help in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our valued customers.
When handling money bills over $10 should be marked for safety. For added security, large bills should also be discreetly removed from the cash bin and stored in a secure location.
Inclusiveness is important to us, so please do not turn anyone away due to their financial situation or the time left in the event. In fact, during the last half hour, we ask that you decrease the prices to make our rides accessible to all.
To ensure a smooth and efficient experience, please make sure that the prices and ticket requirements are clearly posted, and provide information regarding the time remaining by announcing "1 hour left", "1/2 hour left", and "15 minutes left". Additionally, be mindful of the ticket and wristband colors, which change daily.
Ensuring the security of our customers' tickets and money is a top priority, so please dispose of any used tickets off-site, and keep a close eye on the cash at all times. If you suspect any suspicious behavior, please discreetly send a runner to bring a police officer over.
We appreciate your efforts in making our Pay-to-Play Rides event a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Pricing Guidelines:
Ticket pricing options are designed to offer great value and flexibility for our customers.
Tickets should be available in convenient packages:
1 ticket for only $1
6 tickets for just $5
12 tickets for an unbeatable price of $10
For even more savings, consider providing wristbands, which grant unlimited access to most rides. They can be available in multiple packages:
- Most rides cost only 1 ticket or 1 wristband
- Medium equipment cost 3 tickets or 1 wristband
- Mechanical rides require 5 tickets or 1 wristband
We hope this pricing information helps you plan your event!
Customer Service Guidelines
You will get the parent who has more kids or less money than they can afford. Call out to them, "Hey come over here..." and sympathize with them, "I know it's expensive. What can you afford?" or "Hey kid, let me give you a couple extra tickets." Some people may try to take advantage of your generosity, so it's important to establish clear guidelines and be firm but fair in your dealings with customers.
For children who have limited funds, try to accommodate them as best you can, but make sure to set clear expectations. As time is running out, remind customers that they need to make choices about which rides they would like to go on. Encourage them to ride the less popular attractions first, so that they can have the best possible experience.
If a customer asks about the cost of a particular ride, be sure to explain the pricing clearly and concisely. Be mindful of the length of time that customers spend on each ride, and encourage them to move on to other attractions if necessary.
By following these suggestions, you can help ensure a positive experience for your customers and a successful event for everyone involved.
Things to keep in mind during your event:
Ensure all riders meet the height requirements for the ride
Check all safety restraints and equipment before each ride
Assist riders onto and off of the ride
Start and stop the ride smoothly and safely
Maintain a clean and organized ride area
Communicate with the ticket booth if you run out of tickets or need assistance
Immediately address any safety concerns or malfunctions with the ride
Stay alert and focused throughout the event.
